In her early years, her father's position in the Army Air Corp resulted in the family being located in Columbus, Mississippi, as well as Sebring and Ft. Meyers Florida. The family eventually settled in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1948. She spent her teenage years attending C.E. Byrd High School where she met John Webb. They were married on August 26 ,1956. In 1959 after her husband's graduation from college and service in the US Army, the family moved to the Houston area where they have lived ever since.

Yvonne was renowned as an excellent cook and her ability as a seamstress was remarkable. Always a talented and avid gardener, she became a certified Master Gardener and always enjoyed helping others have better success. She had an excellent sense of fashion and style and partnered with her sister Kathleen in an interior decorating and design business for many years. The annual family beach gatherings at Pensacola Beach, Florida took place over fifty years. Those trips were always something she looked forward to and where her family enjoyed her famous crab cakes and fried soft shell crabs.

Yvonne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her unending love and full dedication to her family and all who knew her will be remembered, respected, and cherished always. She was a devout Christian and active in supporting her church. She also generously supported various philanthropic events and causes.
