Bill was born July 14, 1934 in Richmond, TX, and passed away on April 21, 2017. He graduated from Lamar High School in Rosenberg, Texas and married his high school sweetheart Florence Loesch on February 7, 1954. They had three beautiful children and he enjoyed a rewarding career in the oil field services equipment industry. His career took the family to many cities but in 1973 they moved to Midland, Texas where they were devoted members of the local Lutheran Church. Bill's work ethic was truly remarkable and he believed strongly in the importance of education. During his adult years, he returned to college and earned an Associates Degree from Midland College. Bill retired from Dresser Industries but after ten years of retirement he returned to work at Peak Completions where his cheerful attitude and years of experience made him a valuable asset and a wonderful mentor.

As a veteran of the Korean War, Bill was a true patriot and a proud American. Each and every morning he awoke and raised the American Flag in his front yard. He also read the paper in its entirety everyday and was always ready for a lively discussion about current events and politics. He enjoyed wood working, boating, fishing, hunting, and he adored old movies and all types of music.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Florence, his mother-in-law, Clara Narramore of Rosenberg, Texas, his daughter and her husband, Sharon and James Yorek of Edmond, Oklahoma, his son, David Skinner and wife Barbara of Liberal, Kansas and his daughter-in-law Marlise Skinner of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by his five grandchildren Jacob Skinner, Sarah Skinner, Emily Skinner, Charles Yorek and his wife Kelly, and Jennifer Farmer and her husband Christopher and two great-grandchildren, James and Reece.

He was preceded in death by his son Willie Clyde "Billy" Skinner, Jr., his parents Curtis Skinner and Myrtle Gentry Skinner, his siblings: Lillian Robertson, Curtis Skinner Jr., Shirley Skinner and Robert Louis Skinner.

Bill lived a life that embodied faith, service and devotion. Summing up a person's life in a few paragraphs is always a challenge but we believe that Bill's legacy will live on and benefit each and every person that witnessed his courage and personal strength.
