Obituary

William Benjamin Brown, Jr.  92, of Rosenberg, Fort Bend Co., Texas, graduated to his new heavenly home peacefully with his family surrounding him on July 01, 2019.

William, a.k.a. Bill, was a native and resident of Harris County in Houston, Texas, for most of his life. He was born on August 17, 1926 to William Benjamin and Ida Pearl (Walker) Brown.  He was a wonderful husband and father and dearly loved by those that knew him.

In 1943, his father unexpectedly passed away.  To provide support for the family, William, at the age of 16, worked in the military shipyards – ensuring the quick fulfillment of building materials for the war effort.  At 18 years of age, he enlisted into the Marines July 7, 1944 where he was stationed in the Pacific during World War II. After his military service, he returned to Houston, Texas and began his career in residential construction.

William loved his work and took joy in the completed projects and satisfied happy customers.  William had a sweet sprit about him. He was a loving and strong family man. He leaned on his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for most of his life and was very grateful to God for his life here on earth. One of his favorite Bible Chapters was John 14 which he had memorized and quoted often.

William is preceded in death by his parents William Benjamin Brown, Sr. in 1943 and Ida Pearl (Walker) Brown, in 1982, his sister Rosamae Brown in 2009, and his first Grandson Matthew Wayne Felder, Sr. in 2008.

William leaves to cherish his memory, his beautiful and darling wife Mary Eleanore (McFadden) Brown of 63 years in Rosenberg, Texas, his son William Paul Brown of Houston, Texas, his 2 daughters Paula Louise Miller and her husband Lewis Harris, of Richmond, Texas and Jan Louise Brown-Lytle of Rosenberg, Texas; two grandchildren, Austin Michael Lytle, of Rosenberg, Texas, and Shannon D'Wayne Felder and his wife, Maria Felder of New Braunfels, Texas and six great-grandchildren, Matthew Jr., Evan, Amarae, Cyan, T.J. and Nate Felder.

We pay tribute to a man who leaves a legacy of outstanding achievement and dedication to all his family, friends and neighbors.
