Verna Lou Elsa Augusta Foehner Rosenbaum, 96, of Rosenberg, Texas, was born in Tatum, Texas, on January 11, 1930, to Hilda Schulze and Louis Foehner. She died June 3, 2026, in Rosenberg, Texas.

A devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Verna Lou was also active in the VFW and the American Legion. She worked in banking for nearly 30 years and was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Rosenbaum III and his wife, Lavonda, and Kenneth Rosenbaum and his wife, Jeanette; her sister, Evelyn Rohne of Pearland; her brother, David Foehner of Boling; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was simply "Oma." They will remember her loving heart, her handmade quilts, and the meals she carefully prepared for them.

Verna Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her loving and dedicated husband, Robert Rosenbaum Jr.; her brothers, Lenert Foehner of Clarendon Hills, Illinois, and Nelson Foehner of Tomball; her sister, Lorna Horelica of Boling; and her great-grandson, Jace Jurek of Needville.

Her family will remember her with love and gratitude, carrying forward the faith, values, and traditions she shared throughout her life. She will be eternally missed but are so thankful that she is finally home with Bob.

Visitation will be held 5 - 7:00 PM Monday, June 8, 2026, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 4th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Funeral Services will be 10 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1208 5th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471 with Pastor Stephane Kalonji officiating. Graveside Services will immediately follow at Davis Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Memorial donations may be given in her memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1208 5th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
