Vera Anne Kolkmeier, 81, of Rosenberg, Texas, peacefully passed away in her home with her family by her side on November 16, 2015.

She was born in St. Charles, Missouri, on July 6, 1934, to Robert and Vera Schnedler. She was a graduate of St. Charles High School and St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis. She married Donald Kolkmeier on June 19, 1955. She worked in the surgery department of St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri and Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana before moving to Rosenberg, Texas in 1961. She worked at Polly Ryon as nurse manager of the operating rooms and sterile processing.

Anne is survived by her husband of 60 years, the Reverend Donald Kolkmeier. She is also survived by her three sons and their wives, Robert and Leslie Kolkmeier, John and Bonnie Kolkmeier, and Stephen and Cisco Kolkmeier, and her two granddaughters Jessica and Ryann.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 22, 2015, at 2:00 pm at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1513 West Street, Rosenberg, Texas, 77471.

The family requests that memorials go to the memorial fund of St. John's United Church of Christ.
