Sylvia passed peacefully. She was born in Concepcion, Texas. She lived in Houston for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Broyles; parents, Genaro and Lucinda Perez; and sister, Consuelo Hinojosa. She is survived by her siblings, Ninfa Butler, Amelia Groves, Genaro Perez and his wife, Irma, and Lucinda Diaz and her husband, Tom, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.


She retired from Saks 5th Avenue and worked for Lord and Taylor. She was a member of St. John Vianney. She will be remembered as a fan of the Texans, Oilers, and Rockets. She adored her cats, Kid and Mush, and her beautiful doves. She will be remembered as a very giving person.


A Memorial Service will be held for Mrs. Broyles 2:00 PM Friday, August 8, 2014, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 5356 11th Street, Katy, TX 77493.
