Susan Goodrum Safahi, 50, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at her home in Woodland Hills, CA. Susan was born on August 7, 1962 in Rosenberg, TX to Bill and Ann (Dawes) Goodrum. Her family soon moved to Alvin, TX and in 1980 she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alvin High School. Susan went on to earn a pharmacy degree from The University of Texas in Austin. In 1983 she married the love of her life, Fred Safahi, and they had 2 children, Jessica and Ryan. She worked as a Pharmacist at Randalls in Houston, and then they moved their family to Los Angeles where she was a Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager for Albertsons/Supervalu for more than 25 years. She enjoyed her visits to family in Texas, vacations with her husband and children, and her travels to London and Cabo San Lucas.

Susan lived her life to the fullest. She had a brilliant mind, a photographic memory, an amazing smile and a beautiful heart. She also had a great sense of humor and everyone enjoyed the silly antics she played on her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, "Ma'am" Tomy Grace Dawes; her father, Bill Goodrum; and her mother, Ann Goodrum Prescott.

Susan is survived by her husband, Fred Safahi of Woodland Hills, CA; daughter, Jessica Safahi of Houston, TX; son, Ryan Safahi of Woodland Hills, CA; brother, James Goodrum and his wife Cindy of West Columbia, TX; sister, Cathy Petersen of Alvin, TX; brother, Rusty Goodrum and his wife Michele of Alvin, TX; stepmother, Donna Goodrum and stepsister, Shelly Marshall, both of West Columbia, TX; numerous nephews, nieces and extended family; as well as her favorite group of "Gousins" (girl cousins); and her beloved cat Tweakers.

Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Rosenberg on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Rhonda Detenbeck officiating. Burial/Internment will follow at Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX. Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors is handling the funeral arrangements.
