Funeral services for Stanley Sykowski, 86, of Rosenberg will be 10 AM Thursday, February 11, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416 George Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with the Rev. Bill Bartniski officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in West Gethsemane Cemetery, Highway 36 in Rosenberg.

Visitation will be 5-7:30 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with Rosary beginning at 7:30 PM.

Stanley was born July 11, 1929, in Richmond, Texas, to Frank and Agnes Sykowski. He passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Richmond Health Care Center in Richmond. He was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Stanley is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Florence Sykowski; parents, Frank and Agnes Sykowski; sister, Louise Brzymialkiewicz; and brothers, Florian Sykowski and Roman Sykowski.

He is survived by daughters, Joyce Kasmir and husband, Sheldon of Richmond, Donna Svatek and husband, Dwayne of Needville; grandchildren: Holly Stearman and husband, Danny of Lissie, Melissa Ebarra and husband Chris of Rosenberg, Daisy Svatek of Needville; great grandsons: Joey Stearman, Kaiden Stratman, C. J. Ebarra; brother Vincent Sykowski of Damon; sisters: Monica Reznicek of Sealy, Bernice Vrabel and husband, Tim of Bartlett, along with many relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Carlos Castillo, Phil Hamman, Ruben Castellano, Farris Kasmir, Charles Schiller, and Zef Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters and his great grandsons.
