Spencer Austin
Morris
Apr 25, 2005 — Jul 22, 2022
Houston
Spencer Austin Morris, beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend passed away tragically late Friday, July 22, 2022. He was born in Houston on April 25, 2005, the first son of Phillip and Sarah Morris. He had a wonderful childhood with his loving parents, his sister Ashley, his brother David, a very large extended family, and many friends.
Spencer attended Askew Elementary, T.H. Rogers Junior High, and was entering his senior year at Westside High School. He enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, baseball, swim team, snow skiing or any other sport he attempted. He was a natural at all of them. He had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed summer camps and boy scout outings. He especially enjoyed weekends at his grandparents' house in Kerrville, at the lake house with family and friends, playing video games with his brother David, laughing with his sister Ashley, and just hanging out with friends.
His 30 cousins remember him as the "oldest of the youngest" second batch of cousins and noted how sweet he was to everyone, especially Ashley and David and his tiny cousins at large family gatherings.
Spencer was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Geneva Morris, grandparents Charlie and Nan Austin, and his cousin Claire Elizabeth Austin.
Spencer is survived by his loving parents Phillip and Sarah Morris, his grandparents Dr. Phillip Spencer Morris and wife Maribel, 25 aunts and uncles, 30 cousins, 11 great-cousins, his ride or die soulmates Conrad Scoggins and Sofia Jekki, and too many other friends to list. His life was full.
His life was just beginning when he was called home to our Father in heaven. God comes for the special angels. He will always be our little man. Lalu little man.
The family would prefer no coats, no ties and no black. Friends of Spencer are encouraged to wear their favorite hoodie in remembrance of him.
Service will be on Saturday at 11am at Memorial Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, 12955 Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77079.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Spencer's name to Wellsprings Village at https://wellspringsvillage.org
