Shirley Faye Zimmerman (Galler), 88, of Needville, passed away on May 17, 2024, in Richmond, TX.

Shirley was born on January 21, 1936, in Needville, TX, to Adolph and Annie Galler. She was a beloved wife to Calvin "Buster" Zimmerman and a cherished mother to Diana Tydlacka (Jimmy Nelson), Gayle Horak (James), Charlene Miller, and Vickie Maresh (Craig Zwahr). Shirley was also a proud grandmother to 8 grandchildren and had numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents and preceded in death by Robert Tydlacka and Larry Miller, her son-in-laws.

Shirley was a woman of many talents and passions. She owned several businesses throughout her life, showcasing her creativity and independence. Shirley was known for her strong will and unwavering work ethic. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, and DIY projects. For 50 years, she was affectionately known as the "TAX LADY" until her retirement in her early 80s.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Shirley's life will be held at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 4th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 10:00 am.

Memorial donations may be given in her memory to the Needville Ministerial Alliance.

Shirley Faye Zimmerman will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
