Funeral services for Roy Dale Sanner, Jr, 65, of Richmond, TX, are set for 1:30 PM Monday, January 5, 2015, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038, with Dr. Donnie Melton officiating.


Visitation will be 5 - 7:00 PM Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.


Roy Dale Sanner, Jr. passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014, with his family and loved ones by his side. He was born to the late Roy Dale Sanner, Sr. and Willie Irene Sanner on June 17, 1949, in Topeka, KS.

Roy received his Bachelor's degree in Education at Sam Houston State University and his Master's degree at University of Michigan and has been a teacher for Lamar Consolidated Independent School District for over 20 years.

As a loving father and friend to many, Roy is survived by his 3 children, Anthony, Amanda, and Colby, and by their mother, Debra Sanner; his sisters, Irene, Ann, and Betty; his nieces and nephews; and his partner, Cynthia.


Memorials may be given in his memory to Lamar Consolidated ISD, 3911 Avenue I, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
