Ronald Edward Pyka sadly passed away on January 16, 2024, at the age of 66, in his home in Richmond, TX.

Ron was born in Joplin, Missouri, on October 2, 1957. He is preceded in death by his mother, Myrna Pyka and father, Edward Pyka. He is survived by his wife, Donna Krenek Pyka; brother, David Pyka and wife Brenda; nephews, Jason Pyka, Ryan Pyka, and Aaron Pyka; mother-in-law, Margie Krenek; and brother-in-law, David Krenek and wife Dina.

Ron graduated from Lamar CISD in 1975, and he attended U of H and Texas A & M. He graduated from U of TX San Antonio's medical school in 1983. After graduation, he was a resident in pathology and fellow in neuropathology at the University of Florida. He then served 4 years in the Air Force at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. After completing his time in the Air Force, he practiced at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, OH, for 21 years.

He retired in 2012 for medical reasons. Ron and Donna moved back to TX, living in Austin for 2 years. In 2017, they moved to Del Webb in Richmond, TX.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2024, in the Parish Hall of St. John's UCC, 1513 West Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
