A Graveside Service for Richey Deane Evans, 83, of Baytown, TX, will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Davis Greenlawn Cemetery, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with Dr. Donnie Melton officiating.

Deane was born in Corpus Christi, TX, on November 11, 1937. He attended schools in Corpus Christi and graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1955. After high school, he attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi before completing his degree at Texas A & I University. He served two years in the US Army before returning to Corpus Christi to work in the banking industry. He spent several years working in banks in Corpus Christi and Houston before he and his wife Jean moved to Baytown where he spent 45 years in banking and where he owned America's Home Mortgage Company. During his years in business in Baytown, Deane was active in the Rotary Club of Baytown and enjoyed the work he was involved in as a Rotarian.

Deane is preceded in death by his father, Gary Evans; mother, Nettie Wynn Evans; sister-in-law, Maxine Evans; and brother-in-law, Jim Hampton.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years and love of his life, Jean Beck Evans; his brother, Gary Evans of Commerce, TX; sister, Betty Jo Hampton of Seattle, Washington; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special cousins, John and Dawn Brummett.

Deane died peacefully May 2, 2021, after a lengthy illness, with his wife, Jean, at his bedside.

Deane was always fond of family reunions and enjoyed the time spent each year with his large extended families.
