Richard Beserra, born February 7, 1927 in Needville, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents: Joe Becerra and Severa Galvan Becerra. In 1948, he was married to Lillie (Ludmila) Venglar. They had 7 children: Richard Jr. (deceased), Linda, Yvonne, Patricia (Pat), Adrian (partner David Pevear), Robert (wife Sophia) and Elizabeth (husband Boyce Funderburk). Their three grandchildren include: Lauren Wright, Ryan and Erin Beserra. Richard was also predeceased by brothers: Apolinar and Julio, and sisters: Nicolasa Arredondo, Dolores Becerra, Natividad Gracia and Dorothy DeLeon. He is survived by his brother Tony (Antonio) Becerra.

Richard served in the U.S. Army and was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Sugar Land. Richard was a lifelong fan of the University of Texas Longhorns.

A Rosary Service will be 4 PM Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

A Funeral Mass for family members will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Sugar Land, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
