Josh Walker (wife, Krystal; and great-nephew and niece Russell and Bailey), Jade Walker, and Jaren Walker; Preston Walker (wife, Kendra; nieces, Ariana and Aspen Walker); his maternal grandmother, Jean Starman; paternal grandmother Barbara Lee; aunts, Debbie MacIvor, Kathy Pohl, Joyce O'Loughlin, and Esther Morgan; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mentor, Ralph Walker, and by his paternal grandfather, Ernest Walker and maternal grandfather, Paul Novotny.
Reno was raised on a ranch and loved ranch-life. He had a special gift for working with horses. If he wasn't working with them, he was dreaming about working with them. We are sure he is horseback, riding with his Dad in heaven. Helping others was his life passion, and he was a stranger to no one. His close bond with his brothers is unwaivering and has been since childhood. Growing up on the ranch, they were quite the pranksters. Reno felt so blessed to have spent the past 4 years with his soulmate, Cheryl. For the 8 months preceding his passing, Reno and his fiance enjoyed the infamous California sunshine with his daughter and son in law, but in his heart, Texas was home. We are so grateful he was able to make it back home before he passed.
Above all else, Reno was a strong Christian man who was totally dedicated to his God and to his family; if Reno considered you a friend, you were family.
A Celebration-of-Life Service is being held for Reno on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 4:00 pm at the Ft. Bend Club; 4203 Ave. H, #11; Rosenberg, TX 77471
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Guadalupe Christian Camp for Children; 36 Christian Camp Road; Carlsbad, NM 88220.
Burial will be at a later date at the Queen Cemetery in the Guadalupe Mountains in New Mexico -- next to his Dad, and close to the ranch he was raised on and loved so much.
