Phyllis Marie Foster
August 15, 1930 – October 17, 2021
Phyllis was born August 15, 1930, in Racine, Wisconsin, to James P. Rasmussen and Clara A. Neumann. She was a Westbury resident for 40 years before moving to Meadows Place. She graduated from St. Catherine's High School in 1949 and graduated La Salle Extension University in 1974. She worked as a Bookkeeper at several companies before she opened Astral Bookkeeping & Tax Service, Inc. in 1982. She owned and operated the business until her retirement in 2014. She was a member of several organizations, but her biggest accomplishment was passing the Enrolled Agent Exam in June of 1986. Phyllis had many different hobbies, but her favorite was going to different casinos to try her luck at slot machines or bingo.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, husband Mahlon, and son Richard. Survivors include her daughter Sharon Foster and husband George of Meadows Place, grandson Ricky Foster and wife Cherita of Battle Ground, Washington, and her brother Ronald Rasmussen and wife Donna of Moose Lake, Minnesota, and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials and donations be made to Houston Humane Society or the charity of one's choice.
