Patricia Connolly
Arnold
Apr 25, 1950 — Oct 9, 2024
Sugar Land
On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Patricia Connolly Arnold was called home to heaven at age 74. She is preceded in death by her husband James and brother Jack. She is survived by eldest daughter Kathleen, and daughter Courtney (Michael) LoCoco, along with six gorgeous grandchildren: Julian, Dominic, Vivian, Maximilian, Valerie, and Vincent.
On April 25, 1950, Patricia Connolly was born to John and Rosemary, joining eldest brother Jack and big sister Kathleen. She attended Academy of the Sacred Heart with the Class of 1968. She was the class clown with her best friend Claudia, but still learned a few things, like how to speak French. She also found her love of the written word. She had a passion for reading and writing, graduating from Maryville University in St. Louis in 1972 with a degree in English. She loved to journal, scribble notes, thoughts, and ideas with her beautiful penmanship. She always carried with her a small spiral-bound notepad should inspiration strike in the carpool line.
She met her husband James (1956-2020) while he was teaching a Bible study group. They wed in October 1982 at Sacred Heart Church in New Orleans. They had two fabulous daughters, Kathleen and Courtney and brought the family to Houston in 1991.
Patty, Trish, "Aunt Party" was the highlight of every gathering; she charmed each room she entered. She never knew a stranger, and with ease and comfort she welcomed all people into her life. She made others feel important because to her they absolutely were. She maintained a special devotion to Our Lady, and The Kingdom of the Divine Will. She was blessed to make a pilgrimage to Medjugorje, a holy site for Christians to experience the blessings of The Virgin Mary. Her faith and devotion to The Church brought her peace that could be felt by anyone who knew her. Hers was a robust life, filled with family, joy, activity, laughter, and margaritas.
A Memorial Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 11 AM at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 705 St. Theresa Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77498.
