Patricia (Patti) Becerra, age 67, lost her courageous battle on April 14, 2021, after a lengthy hospitalization. Patti had major surgery last August but afterwards she never could get over a series of complications and never came home. Patti was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She always put family above herself and will be remembered for her caring ways, devotion and generosity to us all.

Patti is predeceased by her father Richard Sr. and brother Rick. She is survived by her mom Lillie, her siblings Linda, Yvonne, Liz (and Boyce Funderburk), Adrian (and David Pevear), Robert (and Sophia and children Elliot and Ollie); nephew Ryan (and Laura Nunez), niece Lauren (and Chris Wright and son Kyler), and niece Erin (and Stephen Shields and sons Titus and Luka).

Patti naturally bonded with all pets, and so to honor her life, we ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to your favorite animal rescue organization.

We would like to extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude to the J.C. Walter Jr. Transplant Center for extending Patti's life, and to the many care givers at Houston Methodist and Kindred Hospitals who helped Patti during her stays there. A special thanks goes to Dr. Kevin Grimes for his special way with Patti, especially wearing his Texas Longhorn socks, and to Lydia Villagomez, Dolores Ottenhouse, Virginia Higginbotham, and Fran Kelly for their constant support.

A family memorial service will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land, Texas, on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, with a Rosary at 10:30 AM and a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM.
