Owen James Gruber (2003-2024)
Owen Gruber was born to Melissa and Sid Gruber on 4 Jan 2003 at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton, CA. Owie attended San Onofre Elementary School on Camp Pendleton until 2nd grade when he moved with his family to Jacksonville, NC and finished elementary at Meadow View Elementary School. He then attended Southwest Middle School and graduated from Southwest High School in Jun 2021. As a Colt at SWMS and a Stallion at SWHS, Owen played football, wrestled, ran Track, and had a very tight knit group of friends that enjoyed the outdoors, including one of his favorite pastimes of beach ops and surfing.
After graduating from high school, Owen moved to OK and resided with his beloved Grandparents and his Aunt Charlene, while attending Cherokee Nation Lineman Course. Upon graduating from Lineman Course, Owie realized that was not his calling and decided to move toNeedville, TX, with his beautiful mother, attending college at Wharton County Junior College, working towards a criminal justice degree. Owen was received into the kingdom of Heaven on 10 January 2024 and reunited with his two best friends, Missy "Missaroo" and Tater Monks Gruber.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Discovery Church, Jacksonville, NC; Eldon Baptist Church, Cherokee County, OK; and Creekside Christian Fellowship Needville, TX; along with all of Owen's friends and loved ones. Owen was a steadfast Christian who valued friends and family above all else.
