Magdalen K. Cardwell (91) of Rosenberg, TX, passed away April 25, 2017, at a local nursing home after a two year illness. Maggie graduated as a Registered Nurse from Providence Hospital School of Nursing, Waco, TX, in 1945. She worked for many years as a school nurse for LCISD. Maggie was active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the American Red Cross, which named their local service award after her.


She is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, R.E. "Dick" Cardwell. She is survived by her sons, Richard L. Cardwell and John S. Cardwell; grandson, R. Lee Cardwell; brothers, Marcus Voltin and Frank Voltin; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.


Graveside Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, May 5, 2017, at Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery, 3900 B.F. Terry Boulevard, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
