His children, Todd Schuh, Chris Schuh (wife, Alexa), and Dustin Medlin (wife, Christy) of the Houston area. His grandkids include Bryan and Briana Schuh and Devon and Megan Medlin.
Lloyd was born in Little Rock, AR on August 11, 1939, to Lloyd and Norma Schuh, Sr. He graduated from Little Rock Central High and received a degree in broadcasting from Oklahoma State University. He did on-air radio in Guymon, Ok and was a weather caster and camera operator on TV in Dodge City, KS.
He moved back to Little Rock working for Arkansas Power & Light as Public Relations Director. He also served as PR Director at Central Baptist Hospital (now Baptist Medical System). While visiting Hot Springs, AR, Lloyd was set up on a blind date with Shirlene Howard, who was a school teacher there. Lloyd had picked up some fresh tomatoes earlier in the day which had been left in his hot car creating quite an odor. Despite his car smelling horribly, Shirlene fell in love with him and they eventually got married.
Lloyd was an entrepreneur. He helped start a chain of highly successful day care centers known as Educare across the state of Arkansas and Americare in the Dallas area. He later created a chain of video rental stores, and retail electronics and appliance stores.
Eventually, Lloyd and Shirlene moved to Houston TX working in the Direct Mail industry doing graphic design. Utilizing his graphics skills he began teaching at Houston Community College as an adjunct professor. He was enjoying teaching so much he became a full time professor, going on to attain his Masters in Education at the University of Houston. He finally retired from HCCS and continued teaching as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston until he was 79.
