It brings great sadness to announce the passing of Kirk Adair McKnight of Richmond (Fairchild), TX.

He was called home on November 10, 2023, by his heavenly Father, after battling a liver disease. It is comforting to the family to know that he was greeted and escorted to Jesus by his dad, Joe Dan McKnight Sr, who passed away 32 years ago.

Kirk, 60 years old, was surrounded by Jo Ann McKnight (Mother), Joe Dan McKnight Jr. (Brother) & Pam McKnight (Sister-in-Law) at the time of his departure to heaven.

Kirk was born March 15, 1963, in Salisbury, MA, where his love for animals began. He spent the rest of his life caring for a wide variety of animals that he loved dearly. He attended McNeese University. He got his pilot license and later worked as a computer programmer/analyst.

Kirk is survived by Jo Ann McKnight (Mother), Joe Dan McKnight Jr. (Brother), and by his sisters Debbie Conger & Donna Meals. Other family members include Kathi Jernigan and David Kirkpatrick. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Tony, Kyle & Courtney McKnight, Jodie McMahan, Benny & Terry Conger, Danny Thurman, Nathan Meals, & Marianne Martin.
