Karen Sue Sebesta, July 17, 1953 – March 16, 2025
Karen Sue Sebesta, 71, entered her heavenly home on March 16, 2025, surrounded by love. She was born on
July 17, 1953, in Richmond, TX, to Oscar and Gracelie (Marek) Sebesta, who instilled in her a deep love for
family.
Karen was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves behind her beloved son, Shad "Buckie"
Groze and his wife, Tiffany, and her cherished daughter, Michelle "Missy" Jochen and her husband, Mark. She
was the proud and loving grandmother of Jordan Groze, Mason Albright, Michael Jochen, and Adam Howard,
each of whom brought immense joy to her life. Karen is also survived by her brother, Donald Sebesta, and her
sister, Vicki Jakubec, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends who were like
family.
She is now reunited in eternal peace with her parents, Oscar and Gracelie Sebesta, as well as her sister-in-law,
Phyllis Sebesta, and brother-in-law, Johnie Jakubec.
Karen's life was a testament to kindness, faith, and unconditional love. She had a rare ability to brighten any
room with her infectious laughter and warm smile. Her unwavering faith in Jesus guided her through life, and
she shared that faith through her compassionate heart and generous spirit. She was a true blessing to all who
knew her, always offering encouragement, support, and a listening ear.
Though Karen's physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched.
Her legacy of love, faith, and joy will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to have known her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Creekside Christian Fellowship
