A Memorial Service for Karen S. Crabtree of Houston, TX, is set for 2:00 PM Friday, February 2, 2018, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Karen Lynn Scanlin Crabtree, 57, passed away January 28, 2018, at home with her daughter, after her battle with metastatic breast cancer. Karen was born April 28, 1960, in Houston, Texas, to Bill and Ann Scanlin.

Karen is survived by her father, Bill Scanlin, her mother, Ann Scanlin, her brother, Jason Scanlin, her brother Tommy Scanlin, her sister-in-law Marlene Scanlin, and her only daughter, Stephanie Crabtree.

Karen was a graduate of Dulles High School, class of 1979, and then she went to work as a secretary at Scanlin Electric. She went on to be a secretary for a number of companies, as she was always very detail-oriented and organized. She loved music, traveling with her daughter, and going to the beach with her beloved pomeranian, Coco.
