Obituary

In Loving Memory of Justin Mullennix

Justin Mullennix was born on October 3, 1947, and passed away on October 19, 2026. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Robbie Mullennix; his son, Reese Mullennix; his daughter-in-law, Julie Mullennix; his sister, Lanette Jay; and his cherished granddaughter, Addison.

Justin grew up in Elk City, Oklahoma. As a young man, he pursued his love of baseball at Panhandle State, where he played college baseball before transferring to Oklahoma State University (OSU). He graduated from OSU with a business degree, laying the foundation for the successful career he would build in the years ahead.

Following college, Justin proudly served his country in the United States Army as a first lieutenant. His military service took him to Alaska and Vietnam. After serving his country, he returned home, ready to begin the next chapter of his life.

Justin settled in Houston, Texas, where he began a promising career at 3M. He quickly rose through the ranks, gaining valuable experience and learning the ins and outs of the business. That experience ultimately laid the foundation for him to venture out on his own and establish an audio-visual company. Through hard work, determination, and an entrepreneurial spirit, Justin grew the business into a success. The company later merged with AVTG, where he continued to lead and grow the business until his retirement in 2012.

Above all, Justin deeply loved his wife, Robbie. Throughout their 50 years of marriage, he made it a priority to put her first, care for her, and provide for their family. He took pride in making sure she was cared for, showing his love through his commitment, hard work, and the life they built together. Their marriage was a defining part of his life, and the love he had for Robbie will always be an important part of his legacy.

Despite his professional success and many responsibilities, Justin always made time for his family. He was a hands-on father who volunteered to coach Reese's sports teams and devoted countless weekends to traveling to games and sporting events. He showed his love by being present, getting involved, and supporting his family every step of the way. Those weekends and countless hours spent cheering from the sidelines created memories that will be cherished for generations. He was also a doting grandfather to Addison, whom he affectionately called "Sunshine" because of the joy she brought into his life.

In his free time, Justin loved spending time on the golf course with his golfing buddies. Golf gave him the opportunity to enjoy a game he loved, spend time with friends, and make the most of his time away from work. It was a favorite pastime that brought him happiness, especially before his health began to decline.

Justin built a life marked by hard work, service to his country, professional accomplishment, and, above all, devotion to the people he loved. While he leaves behind many accomplishments, his greatest legacy is the time he invested in his family, the care he gave his wife, the support he showed his son, and the memories his family will carry with them. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
