A funeral mass for Josephine A. Wetz, 93, is set for 10 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 9214 Main Street, Needville, TX 77461, with Father Marty Pham officiating. Burial will follow in Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at St. Michael's, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM.


Josephine A. Wetz was born in East Bernard, TX, where she attended school. She married Henry Wetz, Sr. on May 22, 1939 in Rosenberg, TX. He preceded her in death in 1977.

She was of Catholic Faith. She is survived by 2 daughters, Henrietta Rychlik and husband Joe, of Sealy, TX, Joannie Barcak and husband David, of Needville, TX; two sons, Larry Wetz and wife Joan, of East Bernard, and Clarence Wetz and wife Bobbie of Wallis, TX; known as "Granny" to 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Andel and Millie Vrazel Andel; two sons, two daughters, eight brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be given in her memory to St. Michael's Building Fund, 9214 Main St., Needville, TX 77461.
