Panozzo

Sugar Land
Joseph Anthony Panozzo
April 8, 1937-April 30, 2020
Joseph ("Joe") Panozzo of Sugar Land, Texas, departed this life on April 30, 2020, due to an aggressive form of cancer, surrounded by family. Joe is now in his eternal home in heaven with his wife, Marilyn, who passed away earlier this year.
Joe is survived by his children, Joey Panozzo and wife Lisa, Cheryl Panozzo, and Beth Panozzo Howard and husband Mike, and grandchildren, Amanda and Emily Panozzo, Keegan and Joel Gregory, and Abby and Lainey Howard; and his brother, Ronald Panozzo and wife Judy.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Marcis Panozzo, and parents, Joseph and Mary Panozzo.
Joe was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 8, 1937, attended Mendel Catholic High School in Chicago and received a Bachelor in Science degree from Northern Illinois University in 1960 where he met his wife. He started his 34 year Sales and Management career with Fisher Scientific Company in the Chicago area and later accepted an exciting job promotion, with Fisher, taking Joe and his family to Sugar Land, Texas in 1972. Joe departed Fisher in 1988 as Vice President/General Manager and continued his career with VWR Scientific from where he eventually retired in 1995 as Senior Vice President.
Joe was passionate for the game of golf and could be found most every weekend playing at the Sugar Creek Country Club, where he held the office of President of the Board of Directors in 2000. Through his love for traveling, Joe was also able to play some of the finest golf courses in the world with his wife and friends. Joe's biggest passions, however, were his love for God and his family, which became his main purpose near the end of his life. Joe loved spending time with his grandchildren, his greatest joys, and taking them on many family trips.
Written words cannot do justice for his life, so we invite you to join us for a Celebration of Life Mass at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd, Sugar Land, Texas 77479 , on Friday, May 15, 2020, at 10:00 AM.
