Jo Ann (German) Myers, 89, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Houston Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land, TX.

She was born on November 16, 1934, in Peoria, IL and grew up in Chillicothe, IL. She married Donald "D.C." Conner Myers on March 17, 1956, and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2018. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Edwin S. German, Jr. and Virginia M. (Hawk) Stoner; brother, Edwin "Gordon" G. German; son-in-law, Michael "Mike" W. Murphy and infant grandson, Tobias Murphy.

Jo is survived by daughters Cheryl (Myers) Murphy of Chillicothe, IL and Caren (Myers) Kerr of Rosenberg, TX. Also surviving are grandchildren Anthony Murphy, Adrianne (Keith) Mercer, Andrew (Laura) Kerr, Bradley (Marcia) Kerr, and Bryan Kerr, great-grandchildren Isabella and Brigham Murphy, Brynn, Brie and Brayden Mercer, Kara Brophy, Valente and Leon Kerr, sister Linda (German) Maxwell, and several nieces and nephews.

She worked for many years at the First National Bank of Chillicothe and later in real estate and tax preparation. She also thoroughly enjoyed several years driving a school bus and interacting with her special needs students. After she retired from her professional career, she most enjoyed spending time with family and watching her grandkids play sports and grow into adults.

Visitation will be from 10 AM – 11 AM Tuesday, March 12, 2024, with Funeral Services beginning at 11 AM, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471. Interment will follow at Morton Cemetery, Richmond, TX 77469.
