Funeral services for Jo Ann Dibler, 83, of Bellville, TX, are set for 11 AM Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471,with Rev. John Crowe and Rev. Paul Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX.


Visitation will be 5- 7:00 PM Monday November 27, 2017, at the Garmany & Carden Chapel, Rosenberg, TX.


Serving as Pallbearers will be Sean Cherry, Joshua Dibler, Brisco Humes, Bryan Johnson, Sonny Howard, Jon Walsh, Chase Krebbs, and Daniel Meza. Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Dibler, Donnie Irby, Brent Humes, and David Cherry.


Jo Ann Dibler was born September 25, 1934, in Meeker, OK, to George R. Fowler and Audrey Isbell Fowler. She died Saturday November 25, 2017 at her daughter's home in Bellville, TX. She married the love of her life, Gilbert Dibler, on January 20, 1952, at First Baptist Church, Meeker, OK. She and Gilbert traveled the country working in the oil patch. With children being born in 4 different states, Kansas, California, Oklahoma, and Texas. After raising 4 children, she joined Gilbert in starting Dibler Seismic Service in 1976. They enjoyed extensive worldwide travels, cruising and vacationing with their children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Rosenberg, TX.


She is survived by her children, Dian Irby and husband, Donnie, of Cold Spring, TX, Roxie Cherry and husband, David, of Cypress, TX, Chris Dibler and wife, Nancy, of Richmond, TX, and Becky Humes and husband, Brent, of Bellville, TX; 8 grandchildren, Megan Irby Johnson and husband, Bryan, Melina Irby Krebbs and husband Chase, Casi Cherry Howard and husband, Sonny, Sean Cherry and wife Rachael, Joshua Dibler, Brittany Humes Walsh, Brisco Humes, and Melissa Dibler Meza and husband Daniel; 12 great grandchildren, Garrett and Gavin Johnson, Brennan and Kaylee Krebbs, Asher, Zoee and Pax Howard, Nate and Claire Cherry, Isaiah Meza, Russell and Jason Walsh; sister-in-law, Joyce Simon and husband Royce; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and close friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband; and by siblings, Tom Fowler, G.R. Fowler, John Fowler, Hoyt Fowler, and Lila Corley.


The family would like to thank Texas Home Health Hospice of College Station and Dr. Ivan Mefford and his staff at Fort Bend Premier Care in Richmond TX.
