Jeremy was born on January 16, 1974, in San Antonio, Texas. He was known to those closest to him as a beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and loyal friend. He had a kind and generous soul with a huge heart. Jeremy was always willing to give to those in need by supporting local youth organizations, organizing fundraising benefits, and helping friends and family in any way he could, no matter how big or small. Along with his brother, Clint, he proudly served as a Freemason at the Rosenberg Masonic Lodge #881 and the Matagorda Masonic Lodge #7.

He graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg, Texas in 1992, and went on to attend Blinn Junior College in College Station, Texas. He began working in construction in the 1990's and started his own contracting company, Shepard Contracting, LLC, in 2004. His business continued to grow for the next twenty years.

On October 16, 2010, he married Karma Meinardus and together they had two daughters Emma Grace (4) and Kora Rose (2).

Jeremy's sense of humor brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. His countless friends and beloved family members never doubted his devotion to them and their ability to lean on him at any time. Above all, his greatest pride and joy in life was the title he carried as "Daddy" to his two beautiful daughters.

He is survived by his wife, Karma Shepard; daughters Emma Shepard and Kora Shepard; his mother, Gail Kuzich and stepfather, Mike Kuzich; his father, Steven Shepard and stepmother, Leslie Shepard; his brother, Clint Shepard and wife, Ashley Shepard; his nieces, Corey Kovar and husband, Calvin Kovar, and Alexandra Shepard and fiance, Caleb Uherek; his great niece, Adisynn Kovar and great nephew, Coen Kovar; his aunt Linda Messina; and his cousins, Lylith, Dayna, Heather and Stevee.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Clydine Koehler, Harold and Ester Shepard, Tony and Betsey Kuzich, Frank and Grace Dow, and his uncle, Steven Koehler.

In Lieu of Flowers, a Go Fund Me page has been set up for his two daughters at https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-karma-and-daughters-through-loss .
