Funeral Services for Jeffrey Scott Laughrey, 63, of Rosenberg, TX, are set for 10:00 AM Monday, July 14, 2025, at Carmel Church, 12412 TX-36, Needville, TX 77461, with Graveside Services following at Needville Public Cemetery, Needville, TX 77461.

Visitation will be 5 - 7:00 PM Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 4th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Jeffrey Scott Laughrey passed away on June 25, 2025, at Oak Bend Medical Center, Richmond, TX. Scott was born on May 14, 1962, in Baton Rouge, LA, to Donald David Laughrey, Sr. and Wanda Elaine Pickle Laughrey. Scott relocated across the country during his childhood, gaining various experiences, before his parents eventually settled in Rosenberg, TX.

Scott graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School in 1980. He would often talk about his paper route, riding his bike everywhere, working at Wendy's, scouting, and playing football. Scott learned to make friends quickly and never met a stranger. Wherever he went, he would inevitably encounter an acquaintance or engage in conversation with those nearby.

Scott loved big. He loved The LORD & had a heart to share the gospel any chance he got. Scott also loved family and was a dedicated husband, father, and PawPaw.

As an adult, Scott enjoyed being a member of Christian Motorcyclist Association (CMA), evangelism, grilling, the outdoors, his country, working on cars, giving, & helping others, among other things.

Scott retired on his 63rd birthday after 42 years as a licensed electrician for the power company, looking forward to new adventures and opportunities.

He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, David Donald Laughrey, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Laughrey; his children, Justin Laughrey (Meagan), Jessica Isom (Keibryan), Jeffrey Laughrey (fiancé Milan), Tabitha Pope (Brian), Christopher Culbreth (Brittany), and Joshua Brdecka (Sarah);
grandchildren, Cameron, Jaydon, Lilly, Kerrigan, Jaxon, Christopher, Kelaiah, Tate, Riley, Jarah, & Teegan; siblings, Alicia Cremar & Angi Holt (Cliff), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
