Obituary

Our son, Jared Case Joyner, passed away on November 3, 2016 at the age of 25. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 2, 1991. He attended Heritage High School in Littleton, CO and Blue Springs South High School in Blue Springs, MO, where he graduated in 2009. Jared also attended the University of Colorado in Boulder for one year.

Jared was a free spirit who made his own way in the world. He was creative, stubborn, determined and at times impossible! His intelligence and heart took him many places and allowed him to meet many incredible people along the way. In his short 25 years he was able to see places and things that some of us only dream of.

Jared was an extraordinary writer. His passion in life was making music with his friends and writing songs. He would write lyrics on anything he could find – napkins, receipts, scraps of paper, walls. Jared would be the first to tell you he was tone deaf and couldn't carry a tune, but that didn't stop him from sharing his songs with the world.

Jared taught us all life lessons that we will never forget. He taught us how to love without limits, he taught us that it's not about how much money you make, where you live, or how educated you are; it's about the people you meet along the way, the relationships you create, and how you treat people. Jared loved everyone with all his heart and soul.

Jared is survived by his wife, Lindsey Wingo Joyner of Colorado; parents, Mark and Rhonda Joyner of Sugar Land, Texas; siblings Amanda Joyner, Justin Joyner and Taylor Joyner; maternal grandparents, William and Virginia Reynolds of Mineral Point, WI and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jared is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Judith Marie and Thomas Lott Joyner.
