Jim Poncik, 71, of Santa Fe, TX, died May 27, 2013, in Houston, TX. He was born James Poncik on February 3, 1942, in Rosenberg, TX, to Jim Vince Poncik and Minnie Barak Poncik, who preceded him in death. He retired from Witco Chemical as a production manager, and he was a member of Houston Mopar Connection Club.


Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Patricia Poncik; 4 children, Kelley Smith and husband, Steve, Jay Oliver and wife, Carol, Patricia Ann Poncik, and Russell Poncik; and grandson, Cody Phillips; niece, Karen Dvorak, and several nieces and nephews.


A Celebration of Life will be held 1 - 4 PM Sunday, June 9, 2013, in Brookshire, TX. Family and friends wishing to attend should RSVP to Kelley Smith, 281-217-5210 or email poncikevent@yahoo.com for information.
