Jacob Oommen, age 52, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Lovingly known to many as "Vinny," he was born on January 12, 1969 to Estheramma and T.M Oommen in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. After being raised in Saudi, at age 15, he moved to America where he completed high school at Northwest Academy in 1987.

At age 25, he met his future wife Sherly and was married to her in 1994.  Together, they have three children (Jarod, Andrew and Ryan).  They were happily married for 26 years. Jacob leaves behind three brothers; Mathew, Koshy, Abraham and their families.

In 2004, Jacob began an esteemed career in real estate in Sugar Land, Texas, eventually moving on to form his own real estate company, Texas Freedom Realtors. Through hard work, fairness, sacrifice and dedication, his company developed into a successful real estate business in Fort Bend County.

Jacob will always be remembered for his generosity and service to his church and community, his love for his family and his strong, unwavering faith in Christ. His devotion to God and his family was seen in his daily prayers for his wife, each of his children, and seemingly every other person in his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, with his "boys" and "buddy-buddies".

His generosity was seen through many community activities, including his annual support for the Arc of Fort Bend County, where he raised money year after year to help those with intellectual and developmental disabilities within our community. Despite his very busy schedule, he was known to always take time out to serve and explicitly show Christ's love to everybody around him.  Jacob was brought up as a God fearing man and was deeply devoted to his home church, Lighthouse Baptist Church in Missouri City, Texas.

Jacob was a man who always enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to laugh with all of his dear friends.  Although he worked in the city, he enjoyed the quietness and serenity of country living.  Jacob enjoyed traveling with his family to different parts of the world and he was an avid Houston sports fan.  Jacob will be missed dearly by his wife, children, extended family, church and many friends.
