Funeral Services For Irene Emshoff, 89, of Richmond, TX, will be 10 AM Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1512 Louise St., Rosenberg, TX 77471, with burial following at Morton Cemetery in Richmond, TX.

Visitation will be held 5 - 7 PM Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth St., Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Irene Elsie Emshoff was born October 4, 1924, in Kuykendall, Texas, to Gus Emshoff and Louise Schroeder Emshoff. She died June 14, 2014, in Richmond, TX. She was baptized November 23, 1924, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, William Penn, Brenham, Texas. Irene was confirmed June 9, 1940, at Katy Lutheran Mission, Katy, TX. Irene worked on the can filling line at the Marshall Canning Company of Texas in Sugar Land, until it closed in the 1960's. After that, she worked as a cashier at Love's Fine Foods in Richmond. She also helped at the Ft. Bend voting polls and the Ft. Bend County Fair ticket sales.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herbert, Ervin, and Leon Emshoff; sister, Nora Chernosky; nephew Gordon Emshoff; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law. Irene is survived by her nephews Danny Emshoff of Brenham, TX, and John David Emshoff of CT; nieces Lee Brandt of Richmond, TX, Lathel Norris of Brenham, TX, Genette Willbanks of Spring, TX, and Karen O'Connor of CT; cousin, Kathleen Rude of Rosenberg, TX; many great nephews and nieces, great-great nephews and nieces, great-great-great nephews and nieces, family friends and special friends.

Memorials may be given in her memory to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1512 Louise St., Rosenberg, TX 77471.
