Hoyt Cornelius Tucker lived a long, happy, and productive life. He peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the age of 89. He was born on October 23, 1925, to Vera Jewel and Olen Dewey Tucker, in Idabel, Oklahoma, the fourth of ten children.

Hoyt was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3903, where he served as quartermaster and bingo chairman. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rosenberg. Hoyt was a Mason and a Shriner. He was also "Poppa" to Girl Scout Troup 188 and accompanied them on their Grand Adventure of the Summer of '90 that took them all the way to Kennebunkport, Maine: 13 states in 21 days.
Greeting him in Heaven were his parents, his sisters, Louise, Helen, and Thelma, and his brother, O.D., Jr.
