Funeral services for Howard Darrel Griffith, 66, of Needville, TX, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 16, 2019, at Immanuel Evangelical Church, 9018 Church Street in Needville, TX. Burial will follow at the Needville Public Cemetery.

Visitation will take place from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 15, 2019, at the church.

Howard was born August 28, 1952, in Bay City, TX to Howard Vernon and Mary Ann Horak Griffith. He passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019, following a battle with cancer.

Howard is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Warncke Griffith, of Needville; brother Clayton (Butch) Griffith of Guy; three (3) sons Wade and Jessica Griffith of Katy, Kyle and Kelsey Griffith and Chad Griffith and Daisy Hernandez all of Needville; his four precious grandchildren Madelyn, Whitney, Charlie, and Jax Griffith; mother-in-law Agnes Warncke; in-laws Richard and Sandra Oberrender, Kenneth and Shawn Warncke, and Dale Warncke; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Travis Cole Griffith, his brother Michael (Mike) Griffith, and father-in-law Erwin Warncke.

Howard graduated from Needville High School in 1970. Howard was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Church where he served as Consistory president. He was involved with the Needville Little League and served as president of the Needville High School Booster Club. Howard was an avid fan and supporter of Needville Bluejay athletics and his Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed taking trips with his beloved Linda, fishing with his brother, sons and grandchildren, and backyard BBQs with his family.

Pallbearers are George Horak, James Horak, Richard Oberrender, Dale Warncke, Kenneth Warncke, Keith Warncke, Walker Warncke, and Mark Wendt.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Immanuel Evangelical Church, 9018 Church Street, Needville, TX.
