Herbert (Herb) Lewis Campbell, Sr., 84, peacefully went to be with our Lord Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at his home in Sugar Land, Texas. He was born on December 12, 1936, in Dilliner, Pennsylvania. Herb was a long time resident of Sugar Land, Texas.

Herb is survived by one daughter, Bernadine Posey (Randy) of Teague, Texas. Three sons: Herb Jr. and twins, Devlin (Sandra) of Wharton, Texas and Kevin (Dawn) of Richmond,

Texas; two sisters, Irene Dickerson and Helen Ward, both of Ohio; and seven grandchildren - Audrey Trulock (Matt) of Waco, Texas, Corey Posey of Waco, Texas, Kayla Campbell of Katy, Texas, Hannah Campbell of Richmond, Texas, Hayleigh Campbell of Richmond, Texas, Lexi Campbell of Houston, Texas, and Brennan Campbell of Richmond, Texas, and six great-grandchildren – Savanna Trulock, Lucy Trulock, Ella Campbell, Shelby Trulock, Mason Cotner, and Adeline Posey.

Herb was preceded in death by his sister Delores Brunner in 1981; then, the first love of his life and mother of his children Audrey Lucille in 1984; his mother Nora Lee Reynolds in 1991; the second love of his life Retha Lucille in 1996; his brother Addison J. Campbell, Jr. in 2009; and great-grandbaby Sophia Trulock in 2013.

After graduating from High School Herb joined and served four years in the US Navy. Then, he married and raised a family, owned and operated his own business for many years, and had a long career in the plating industry. Herb retired from Industrial Metal Finishing, Inc. at the age of 80 after a long career. He enjoyed playing his guitar, dancing, telling jokes, and watching old time western movies. Herb's greatest satisfaction was spending time with his family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 4th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471 , with the family receiving friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 14, 2021, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 4th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471 , followed by a military tribute at his final resting place at Morton Cemetery in Richmond, Texas.
