Obituary

Guy Nicholas Wynn, III, 63, of Madison Alabama passed away suddenly on January 16th at Huntsville Hospital.

Born and raised in Rosenberg Texas, he graduated from Lamar High School, where he discovered his early love of history and debate. His passion for knowledge and history served him well when he attended and graduated from the United States Military Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. While he was in the Navy, Guy attended Naval Nuclear Power school, a prestigious and difficult course of training, which he later described as "the hardest I ever had to work in school". He graduated and went on to serve his country on both the USS South Carolina and the USS Enterprise.

In 1986, Guy completed his naval service and embarked on a long career in the Nuclear Power industry. He was the rare individual who truly loved his work and believed nuclear power had the potential to be an enormous force for good in the world. His students and co-workers knew him as a passionate, conscientious professional who was always willing to help out.

In 2013, Guy married Rebecca Jo Morris who shared his love of books, travel and cuisine. Guy and Becca spent their time together visiting far flung places like Cabo San Lucas, Dubai and India. Guy was also an active member of Parkview Baptist Church.

Guy is survived by his wife Rebecca Jo Wynn, three children Nicholas Wynn, Sarah Swadis, and Patrick Wynn, his seven stepchildren Heather, William, Holly, Rosie, Robert, Joseph, and Maggie Morris, as well as three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Guy Wynn, Jr. and Aleene Summers Wynn.
