Grafton William Bingham May 9, 1936 – March 14, 2024
Grafton William "Bill" Bingham was born on May 9, 1936, in Camden, New Jersey, to Grafton Cooper Bingham and Helen White Bingham. He died March 14, 2024, in Houston, TX.
Bill attended and graduated in 1955 from Collingswood High School in Collingswood, NJ, and then attend Rutgers University where he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1959. After graduating college, he spent time working as an engineer in the northeast and spent a period of time working down in the Caribbean on St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. In the mid-1970s, Bill moved to Houston working for Robert Wade Construction as a salesman/distributor for heavy-duty aluminum and steel construction products, which were in much demand at the time. This led to the formation of his own company, which he subsequently sold, thus allowing him to retire.
Bill married Margaret Lloyd Bingham in 2006 in Moab, UT, and lived in Richmond, TX. Together, they loved socializing, traveling and just plain having fun. Margaret passed away in January 2020. After her death, Bill moved closer into Houston and spent his remaining time at the Forum with his new friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Grafton and Helen Bingham, and by his wife Margaret Lloyd Bingham.
