Gloria Anna Tilson Powell was born on September 27, 1921 in Dallas, TX, and she died on July 10, 2013, in Rosenberg, TX. She is survived by her 3 children; Regina Allison of Rosenberg, TX, wife of Bill Allison, Rebecca Slayton of Del Rio, TX, wife of Kent Slayton, and Robert Powell of Alice, TX, husband of Cynthia Adams Powell. She is also survived by her grandchildren Wade Allison and Bruce Keckley, and her great grandchildren Melissa, Claire, and Sean Keckley.

Gloria Powell, widow of Robert Braly Powell, resided in Dallas, Eagle Lake, Houston, Alice, and Rosenberg, Texas, during her lifetime. She enjoyed and was quite prolific in sewing, painting, Bible studies, and church choir. Her father Timothy Tilson of Irving, Tx. was a master craftsman and woodworker; he was commissioned to work on the interior of the White House and he hand built wooden powerboats.

Gloria was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Rosenberg, Tx. where she enjoyed the church activities and her many friends.
