A Graveside Service for Forrest Edwin Bernard, Sr., 84, of Richmond, TX, will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023 .

Forrest was born August 4, 1936, in Houston, TX, to Herman Henry Bernard and Cora Bell Wilkes Bernard. He died July 3, 2021, in Richmond, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 40 years before her death in 2018, Velma Maye Hubby Bernard; sister, Dixie Lee Jennings; and brother, Leon Bernard.

Survivors include sons, William Bernard and wife,  Debbie, of Jacksonville, TX,  Patrick Bernard and wife, Diane, of Pearland, TX, Forrest Bernard, Jr. and wife, Rosemary, of Aberdeen, Scotland, Michael Bernard and wife, Katrina, of La Marque, TX, Phillip Bernard, and wife, Janice, of Friendswood, TX, Edward Bernard, and wife, Annie, of Baird, TX; daughters, Susan Benaway and husband, Brian, of Goodyear, AZ, Eileen Kelley and husband, Alan, of Sugar Land, TX, and Carol Bernard; 23 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
