Graveside services for Estelle Williams, 85, of Rosenberg, TX, are set for 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Rock Prairie Cemetery in Madison County, near Madisonville, TX, with Rev. Dean Ferguson officiating. Her six grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.


Visitation will be 5 - 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.


She was born on September 24, 1932, in Madison County, TX, to Joe Akins and Jewell Locke Akins. She died October 13, 2017, in Rosenberg, TX. Estelle was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rosenberg, where she was active for many years in the Golden Heirs Choir. She was also very active in the VFW Post 3903 and the American Legion. She was known to be a talented seamstress and a wonderful cook.


Estelle is preceded in death by her husband, A. J. Williams of North Zulch; son, Mike Williams of Brookshire; daughter, Linda Lynch of College Station; her parents, Joe and Jewell Akins of North Zulch and four sisters.


Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Greg Motal of Rosenberg; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Susan Williams of Waller; son-in-law, James Lynch of College Station; 6 grandchildren, Brad and Julie Motal of Greatwood, Kacy and Jason Fulgham of Sugar Land, Todd and Gina Williams of Katy, Scott and Lori Motal of Sugar Land, James Williams of Brookshire, and Jonathan Lynch of College Station; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Doris McGill of North Zulch, and nieces and nephews.


Memorials may be given in her name to The Golden Heirs/Calvary Baptist Church, 4111 Airport Avenue, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
