Erma was born September 4, 1938, in Houston, Texas, to Vladimir Straznicky and Marie Slacalik Straznicky. She left this world on September 25, 2019, to join Frankie, the love of her life for 56 years. Frankie and Erma were married on January 12, 1958.
Mom worked for Texas Instruments for 33 years before she retired, with the majority of those years being spent riding together with Dad to work. Mom was a cheerful, happy lady who always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers, especially her roses. She was also a really good cook. She enjoyed spending time with the "Golden Girls" group and her Best Friend, who she grew up with, Theresa Schultz. After Dad passed away, she spent her time with her children out on her farm. This was the light of her life. She truly loved her farm, watching the cattle, wildlife, and living the country life with her children. She also enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great-grandson. She was a very special Mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
