Elizabeth "Betty" Lee Thomas, 67, went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2017. She was born on July 20, 1949 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Lee. She married the love of her life, James Robert Thomas, on May 24, 1971. To their union, two children were born, Benjamin and Holly. The two remained united for 46 years until her homegoing.

Betty graduated from Southern Methodist University, where she studied early childhood education and was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. She loved children and was a loving and dedicated teacher for twenty years, having a great impact on many young lives. Betty was devoted to her family and found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved dogs, reading, chocolate, crossword puzzles, and Hallmark movies. She especially treasured visits with friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Lee. Those left to cherish precious memories include her husband, Jim Thomas; son, Ben Thomas (and wife Kim); daughter, Holly Winn (and husband Mike); two grandchildren, Amelia and Caleb Thomas; siblings, Peggy Neustadt, Doris Mohr (and husband Tom), and Bob Lee (and Phyllis); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017, at Faith Lutheran Church, 800 Brooks Street, Sugar Land, TX 77478.
