Elenor Marie Wleczyk Henderson's Obituary
A Funeral Mass for Elenor Henderson, 77, of Rosenberg, TX, is scheduled for 10 AM Friday, May 31, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416 George Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with Father Bill Bartniski officiating. Burial will follow in Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX.
Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471, with a Rosary beginning at 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home chapel, officiated by her brother, Monsignor Leo Wleczyk.
She was born Elenor Marie Wleczyk on May 17, 1936, in Rosenberg, TX, to Leo Wleczyk, Sr. and Josephine Petrosky Wleczyk. Elenor died May 28, 2013, in Sugar Land, TX. She was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg and for many years was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Society. The American Cancer Society was a very important charitable organization to her, as she volunteered in the Reach to Recovery program. For 30 years, Elenor worked for the City of Rosenberg, serving many of those years as the Supervisor of Customer Service. She enjoyed music and movies, and she especially loved spending time with her family, who lovingly knew her as "Nanny".
Elenor was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Henderson Oldmixon and husband, Mark, of Houston, TX, and Carrie Henderson of Huntsville, TX; two grand daughters, Laura Oldmixon and Emily Allison Oldmixon, both of Houston, TX; great grand daughter, Victoria Oldmixon-Lopez of Houston, TX; two brothers, Edward Wleczyk and Monsignor Leo Wleczyk, both of Lake Jackson, TX; sister, Shirley Rentrop and husband, Kenneth, of Lake Jackson, TX; former husband, J.B. Henderson of Huntsville, TX; and numerous other relatives.
