A celebration of life for Edward "Butch" Walter Hanzik Jr, 76, of Needville, TX is set for 11:00 am, Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Creekside Christian Fellowship, 16628 Hwy 36 in Needville, TX 77461. Pastor Greg Garcia will be officiating.

Butch was born on October 4, 1937 in Needville, TX to Liddie and Edward Hanzik Sr. He passed away January 28, 2014. He graduated from Needville High School in 1956. He retired from ARDCO Geophysical in 2000. He was a family man, avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, hunting and travel. He was a craftsman of all trades and believed in hard work. He loved to play the Top Dollar Slots.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward Walter Hanzik Sr, mother Liddie Krobot Hanzik Flessner, brother Larry Hanzik and sister-in-law Regina Hanzik.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 ½ years Wilsie Psencik Hanzik; his daughters Susan Gardner and husband Keith, Sandra Hanzik, Sharon Hanzik, and Stefanie Stavinoha and husband Steven, his son Stuart Hanzik and wife Jennifer; grandchildren Candace Conner and husband Ryan, Crystal Garcia and husband Albert, Angela Aires and husband Jimmy, Brandon Gardner and wife Chelsea, Jessica and Haley Seiler, Trace Hanzik, Laramie Hoagland, Nicholas and Hallie Stavinoha; great grandchildren Cameron, Ashton and Slaed Conner, Braxton Garcia, Jonathan and Andi Berry and Ayden Gardner; brothers Lee Roy Hanzik, Melvin Hanzik and wife Rosalie, sister Barbara Hanzik and Bobby, plus numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
