Funeral Services for Edna Pearl Dethloff, 84, of Richmond, Texas, are set for 11:00 AM Friday, July 2, 2021, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471 , with Pastor David Rose officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM Friday at Dethloff Cemetery in Bellville, Texas 77418.

Visitation will be 5-7:00 PM Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471 .

Edna Pearl Dethloff, 84, of Richmond, Texas, passed away peacefully Monday, June 28, 2021.  Edna was born in Bellville, Texas, on September 17, 1936, to Willie and Lillie Kay Dethloff.

Edna is survived by her sister,  Doris Henderson of Richmond, Texas; brothers Fred Dethloff and wife Jeanna Dethloff of Humble, Texas; and Roy Dethloff of Cleveland, Texas, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Fred and Lillie Kay Dethloff; and sister, Joy Whitehurst.

Edna loved putting together puzzles, crocheting and just about any craft she could find.  She loved crocheting baby blankets for her nieces and nephews and the new mothers in the church.  She enjoyed playing the piano and accordion and baking her Mother's famous Applesauce cookies.  Edna was faithful in reading the Bible and received numerous "Reading Through the Bible" certificates over the years.
