Funeral services for Ed Roy "Eddie" Krobot, 75, of Boling, TX, are set for 2:00 PM Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 3103 School Street, Needville, TX, 77461, with burial following in Needville Public Cemetery.


Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Friday, June 23, 2017, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel, Needville, TX.


Eddie was born September 11, 1941, in Needville, TX, to Louis Krobot and Olga Pospichal Krobot. He died June 19, 2017, in Houston, TX. On July 4, 1964, he married Lillian Witek. and this July they would have been married 53 years. He served in the US Army, and he was a retired employee of Fort Bend County. He loved fishing and hunting, gardening and being outdoors, playing casinos, and travelling. He enjoyed teasing people and making them laugh.


Mr. Krobot was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Olga Krobot; and three brothers, Howard, Harvey, and Raymond Krobot. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Witek Krobot of Boling, TX; two daughters, Rita Mercer of Needville, TX, and Cindy Kurtz and husband, Darrell, of East Bernard, TX; 4 grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as "PawPaw" or "Grandpa", Dusty Mercer and wife, Dehlia, Heather Mercer, Colby and Justin Kurtz; 2 great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Liam; 2 sisters, Lillie Smith of Henderson, TX, and Margie Prihoda of Needville, TX; brother, Jerome (Tom) Krobot and wife, Irene, of Needville, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews, who knew him as "Uncle Butch".


Memorial donations may be given in his memory to the Boling Volunteer Fire Department, P.O Box 38, Boling, TX 77420.
