It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of our mother, wife, and friend, Debra Kay Leslie. Debra entered her heavenly home on January 8th, 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1512 Louise Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Debra was born in Fort Bend County, TX on March 28, 1958 to Daniel and Margie Pieper. She was raised in Needville, TX, and was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rosenberg. In Needville, she would go on to raise three children, Brandon Runge, Ryan Runge, and Jennifer Pacheco.

She met and fell in love with Greg Leslie in 1991.Then, on February 14, 1992, she changed her name and spent a wonderful 32 years of marriage to him. Together, they enjoyed camping in their RV, riding motorcycles, fishing, and hunting. Her name changed one more time when she welcomed her first of six grandkids. Brianna Runge (17), Landon Pacheco (14), Damian Pacheco (10), Rion Runge (8), Reagan Runge (5), and Liliana Pacheco (3).... all called her Moo Moo!

Moo Moo absolutely loved sports. In 1976, her senior year of high school, her team won the State Championship in volleyball with the Needville Bluejays. Her talent earned her a spot on the All-Tournament team. She also won countless awards in bowling. From "Mom and Her Girls," to "Mutt and Jeff" leagues with her kids, she never got tired of bowling. When she wasn't competing, she was the biggest fan for her kids, and later grandkids sporting events! And last baseball season she was able to check off a bucket list task and attend the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania where she was able to cheer on the team from Needville.

Debra loved to care for people; she worked at the Richmond Professional Building in several doctors' offices as an assistant. She also spent many years helping Greg build their business, BlueJay Plumbing.

Debra is survived by her husband Greg; her children and their spouses, Brandon and Megan Runge, Ryan Runge, and Jennifer and Marcos Pacheco; her siblings and their spouses, Cindy and Joe Mauer, Rhonda and Greg Hodges, David Pieper, Melvin Pieper, Carol and Jerry Tydlacka; her mother-in-law, Anna Leslie; her grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents Dan and Margie, father of her children Curtis Runge, father-in-law Willard Leslie, mother-in-law Gerry Janacek, and grandmother Lilly Lindemann.
